I was told to "write to the audience you wish to read" I'm not sure but I hope that's you. This novel began decades ago, with sharp dialogue in the hope of finding complex characters for me. I felt compelled to finish the work so it could be available to more people. The hope is that the story is charming, but the style and dialogue are done well enough to find a unique voice. As a Chicago native this book allows you and me to step away from our world and into a world of possibilities with out confinnes or constraints. It allows us to imagine doing a world of good. It's highest aspiration is to be judged as a good and helpful guest.
