Brandy Wilde was born in Long Beach, California and raised in San Francisco and other Navy towns. Brandy is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has appeared in several major motion pictures and national commercials. Her favorite role was with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jeff Bridges in Stay Hungry. As a striptease artist, Brandy receive many recognitions: -featured performer at the finest striptease club in Los Angeles at the Club Largo -the first striptease act in Singapore -the first American to be hired as a dancer at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Paris, the most famous striptease club in the world. She was renamed Candy Capitol. -the first winner of the Miss Phryne contest in Paris. The contest celebrated "Aphrodite in the Spring." -the first dancer to star in a live striptease act on interna-tional television in Munich, Germany. The owner of the Crazy Horse Saloon wrote a song for her act entitled I am a Good Girl which was immortalized in the 2010 movie Burlesque, sung by Christina Aguilera. Cher was the co-star. English portrait artist Sadie Lee came to her home in Los Ange-les to paint her portrait for the British Petroleum sponsored "Queens of Burlesque" exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Brandy received a Lambda Literary Foundation scholarship to attend the Emerging Writers Retreat in Los Angeles Following her career in Striptease, Brandy earned a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Pathology and a Master of Arts degree in Health Science from California State University-Los Angeles. She worked for the Los Angeles County Health Dept. Alcohol and Drug Programs Office where she was responsible for monitoring all laboratories in Los Angeles County that test for sexually transmitted diseases. She and her partner of forty-one years live in southern California with their two dogs, two cats and a rescued desert tortoise.
