Autorenporträt

Alejandro “Al” Barrionuevo is an Argentinian comic book artist currently living in Melbourne. He began his international career in 2002, working for five years as an exclusive artist for DC Comics. After that, he has been working for companies such as Marvel and Valiant Comics. Among his many works, Al has drawn popular titles like Batman: Gotham Knights, Martian Manhunter, Teen Titans, Thor, Storm, Hulk , Bloodshot,Taarna, and more. After a lifelong obsession with comics and film, Brendan Columbus has written his first graphic novel, Savage Circus. Born in New York but growing up mainly in San Francisco, Brendan is a NYU grad who hosts the bi-monthly Heavy Metal Magazine podcast and has the upcoming comics Valhalla and The Savage Cross coming in 2022. He’s beyond excited to be working with his long time favorite magazine, Heavy Metal.   Candice Han is a professional comic colorist and painter living in Malaysia. She works with clients including Dark Horse Comics, Disney Publishing Worldwide, Activision, IDW Publishing, Heavy Metal Magazine, Dynamite Entertainment, Valiant Comics, Ablaze Publishing. She was best known for her work on Alien: The Original Screenplay series for Dark Horse Comics. Additionally, her work includes Fancy Nancy Series, Alien: The Original Screenplay series, Call of Duty:Black Ops 4 Digital Comics, Star Trek: Hell’s Mirror, Transformers/Back to the Future, Wreckers, Savage Circus, and Evil Ernie 2021.   Her colors always spice up your meals. Dave graduated from The Kubert School in 1990, and went on staff directly to the Marvel Comics Bullpen. He left his staff role and went freelance in 2003, moved to PA, and is currently working for DC, Valiant, Aftershock, Bad Idea, Dynamite and of course HEAVY METAL!  Dave is also happily married with two grown kids, and he's a bass player in multiple performing bands.
