BRIAN JOSEPH ELSON SKINNER was born in Toronto and received his dual citizenship with Barbados through descent with his father, Toby's, citizenship. Brian travelled to Barbados with his family several times before he finished high school. In 2005, Brian graduated with a Fine Arts Advanced Diploma from London Ontario's Fanshawe College and then travelled to Alberta to complete his education degree. After graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a dual major in Fine Arts and Education, Brian became a teacher in east-central Alberta. Since 2008, Brian has taught courses in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Junior High Art, Drama, Photography, Technology, and graphic design. He has placed unit plans and assignments on the Teachers pay Teachers website for the benefit of all students province-wide.Professionally, Brian has served as an exhibit chair for 5 years on the Central East Teachers' Convention Association. In 2019, he was elected the president of Park Plains East Teachers' local and appointed treasurer of the Endless Skies Teachers' Convention Association. Brian is very passionate about supporting teachers both within his local and around the province of Alberta.Currently, Brian is finishing up the sequel to The Cattlewash Assailant, and beginning the planning for children's books in the theme of exploration, action, and adventure.Brian lives in Wainwright, Alberta with his wife, Sharleen, and household pets.
