As we watch once-reliable ways of life change and some even crumble away, as we feel the troubling effects of climate change, as we hear our neighbors and loved ones and even one's own self cry out under the weight of more stress, fear, uncertainty, and the social expectation that we work doggedly to accumulate more and more stuff... it's easy to disengage and despair. What if the cracks that are forming are the light of newness shining through, some new way of being human being birthed within and among us? As we move and breathe through these birth pangs, may we all be rooted in love and the true nature of things, the universal truths of who we are - of wind, of water, of gravity, of Earth - that we all share. Matthew Klooster and Brian Shircliff met in 1997 and reconnected decades later through the wonders of social media. They were surprised to discover that they had been playing with similar ideas in their creative explorations for quite a few years...Matthew through his paintings, Brian through his poems. winds of (r)evolution is an invitation to wander and wonder together on this Earth we share, through words, pauses, and fine art inviting curiosity, wisdom, a cleansing breath, a hope deeper than the oceans and wider than the sky. Autorenporträt
Brian Shircliff is the author/translator of The Naked Path of Prophet series of biblical translations and a graphic novel (illustrated by Sean K. Long) revealing the wildly sexy, clever poetry-rap that most Bible translations ignore or even cover over. Having taught high school religion for seventeen years, he felt the need to swim away from the shipwreck of organized religion for a more inclusive perspective. He is a Bones for Life® Trainer, Guild Certified Feldenkrais PractitionerCM, Healing Touch Certified Practitioner, and thirty-year student of many styles of meditation. He co-founded and continues to direct VITALITY Cincinnati's donation-based holistic self-care programs.
