Traditional approaches to it are no longer adequate and an integration of traditional methods with communicative ones are necessary. This book provides a new approach to teaching Phonetics communicatively. It contains 4 units. The main aim of it is to teach students pronounce sounds correctly in communication, lay stresses in words and sentences and use intonation meaningfully. The formation of separate acts of speech is integrated into more complex skills such as phonetics-grammar, phonetics-lexical, phonetics-orthographical. Their usage in different kinds of communicative activities such as Listening, Expressive Reading and Speaking is provided.
