Creation of more peacekeeping or increasing the quota of women participation in peacekeeping and humanitarian missions should be understood in the context of effectively contributing to attempts on addressing gender equality including in the international system militaries.

Brig Gen (Retd), Dr. M.J. Chinyanganya is a holder of a PhD from the Faculty of Social Studies, University Zimbabwe. He was a regular serving military officer in the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. He has a Diploma in War and Strategic Studies, Bachelor of Arts Honours in War and Strategic Studies and a Master of Science in International Relations.
