C J Pendergest was born in Salford Manchester United Kingdom in 1935 and moved to Blackpool in 1958 after leaving the Armed Forces. He has had several jobs ranging from HGV driver to hotel manager and he retired, after ten years' service, from a supervisory capacity with a well-known security firm, He took up writing in his retirement, to fulfil a lifelong ambition. 'The Cayman Affair' is his third of four books, the others being 'The Videls' 'Marcus' and '2888AD A Time Epic'
