  JOACHIM SCHWASS is Professor of Family Business at IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland where he directs the Family Business Center. He is an active owner in his own family business and for almost 20 years has studied and educated leading family businesses around the world. He also sits on the board of directors of the Family Business Network International in Lausanne and is the author of numerous articles and case studies on family business and entrepreneurship. His book Wise Growth Strategies in Leading Family Businesses was published in English, German and Spanish. HÅKAN HILLERSTRÖM is an independent advisor to global family businesses and family offices, and a third generation family business member. He lectures frequently on relevant topics in family business and serves families in business by helping them craft family governance, strategic and continuity planning and wealth management solutions. Previously he worked for seven years in the PriceWaterhouseCoopers family business practice and gained an MBA from IMD. HOLGER KÜCK has spent over 12 years building expert, practical knowledge in the world of the family office. He has served three families in establishing and operating substantial single-family offices, in Germany and Switzerland. After obtaining his diploma in banking, he gained an MSc in finance from the University of London. COLLEEN LIEF is a research associate working at IMD on family business and corporate culture projects. She earnedan MPhil in monetary economics from the University of Glasgow, UK and a BSc in business administration from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, USA. She spent nearly 20 years as a commercial banker at major financial institutions in the USA.
