Produktbeschreibung
The need to focus attention on various aspects of the development of adolescents and youth, particularly their sexual and reproductive health, is a global phenomenon. This has been highlighted by several international conventions and agreements to which many national governments have expressed strong commitment. Yet, motivations for and challenges of adolescents' sexuality, marriage and childbearing remain poorly understood, therefore cause-specific interventions are hampered. This book gives new insights into social contexts and challenges of adolescents sexuality and reproductive health in an African setting. The book provides a comprehensive understanding of adolescents reproductive behavior which includes exploring the motivations and desires of both males and females as they influence male-female relationships and how the related behavioral outcomes are modified by contexts in which they occur.
