Prodrug gene therapy, commonly known as suicide gene therapy, provides a selective approach to eradicate tumor cells. Prodrug gene therapy dominated over the traditional therapy owing to its high efficiency and strong bystander effect.The present study demonstrated the therapeutic effect of prodrug genes and their enhanced effect in presence curcumin or silver nanoparticles in vitro.
