Autorenporträt
Gaochuang Cai is an assistant professor at Universiteit Hasselt, Belgium. He obtained his Ph.D. in seismic and structural engineering from Kobe University and MEng in Civil Engineering from Zhengzhou University. He has extensive research experience in the experimental investigation and use of environment-friendly materials such as waste ash or slag as Supplementary Cementing Materials for concrete structures, in the development of design recommendations for the ongoing improvement of codes of practice used in Japan and throughout the world. He is also an active member of Japan Concrete Institute and Architectural Institute of Japan. Hongzhi Cui is an associate professor at Shenzhen University, China. He obtained his Doctoral degree in building materials from City University of Hong Kong in 2007. After two years post-doctoral research at City U, he joined the College of Civil Engineering at Shenzhen University (SZU) as an Associate Professor in 2009 where he was honored with the title of "Outstanding Scholar of Shenzhen University". Hervé Degée is an associate professor at Universiteit Hasselt, Belgium. After research at Université de Liège, he has worked at Hasselt University, and as a visiting professor at Ghent University He also contributes his research to the development of Eurocodes such as EC8. Takafumi Noguchi is a full professor in the department of architecture at the University of Tokyo, focusing on the research into environmentally-friendly concrete, and the repair and maintenance of reinforced concrete structures. He also is a guest professor at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, China, and a guest Professor at the University of Science and Technology of China; a secretary of ISO/TC71/SC8 (Environmental management for concrete and concrete structures) and secretary of Commission 3 (Environmental aspect of design and construction) and chairman of Task Group 3.10 (Concrete with recycled materials - life cycle perspective) of fib; a convener of Cluster C in TAC (Technical Activity Committee) in RILEM and a member of Technical Committee 130 (Sustainability of concrete) in ACI and a member of Technical Board in Asian Concrete Federation. Additionally, in Japan, he also is a main member, Secretary and Chairman of several technical committees in the Architectural Institute of Japan and in the Japan Concrete Institute.
