Karen Freeman Duet and George Duet began training and breeding top quality dogs nearly thirty years ago. Their clients coined the phrase "Boot Camp" in reference to their training program knowing that George retired from the U.S. Army after serving twenty years in Special Operations. Owners of Kingsden's Kennels, K-9 Companions Dog Training, and K-9 Security & Detection International, the couple specializes in obedience, home manners, management and protection training and have successfully bred and trained Champions, Schutzhund, French Ring, Obedience and Agility titled dogs. In addition, they are both Certified Personal Protection Specialists and are pioneers in the use of dogs in protection and security. In 2000 they were presented with a lifetime achievement award from Nine Lives Associates an internationally recognized security association. Co-authors of The Home and Family Protection Dog and The Business Security K-9, Karen co-authored a third title, Advanced Schutzhund with Ivan Balabanov which was nominated for the prestigious Maxwell Award.
