The author lives in a dilapidated bachelor pad with three other dudes that have found their own personal coping mechanisms to deal with his drinking and other shit habits. He spends his time in his room drinking cheap red wine and reading or writing. if he is not in his room, he is destroying the kitchen with some insane cooking experiment, or in the backyard smoking meat.
