The animals are the pets that lived with and served the boy during his life. The pets continue to provide the KIVA discussions in extensive narratives of European art, architecture, hippies, Cold War and Vietnam war history. These are all woven together through the physical and spectral realms revealed with the orb crystal changes at the gatherings. The Animals again relate the intermittently fantastical, factual, suspenseful, and semi-autobiographical story of Sonny Boy's travels, interesting encounters, and advanced art studies in Western Europe during the '70's.
