The Boni Ethnic group is one of the remnants of the earliest inhabitants in Kenya. It is a Cushitic speaking group belonging to the southern Cushites This community has maintained hunting and gathering as its main economic pre-occupation. In spite of the Kenya government introducing free primary education in 2003, , the Boni have not benefited adequately from this development due to a number of factors the main ones being their historical background, social cultural factors, their economic organization not auguring well with the current trends, and exploitation by neighboring communities. This book attempts to put to the fore the plight of the Boni people in the issue of education access in particular and that of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in the world in general especially the hunter gatherer communities. The conclusion is that for them to enjoy the education gains in the same footing as other communities, governments and other stake holders need to address their plightin the uniqueness and specificity it deserves.
