This book combines the tranquillity of nature, with the bare facts of life that we all have to endure every day. Experiences that each of us face as we go through our lives are captured in the words of a poem. Love, joy, pain, or anguish; then with the flip of a page you can immerse yourself in the beauty of a warm sunny day at the beach, or a stroll in the open countryside. This is a book that can help people put their life into perspective; by, for a few moments, taking them away from their daily angsts, to a place within, where their soul can begin to heal. All this, plus the underlying spirituality that first gave birth to it all.…mehr

Autorenporträt
Although I was born in Birmingham, I grew up and lived most of my life in Cornwall; my parents moved here when I was about two years of age, so I was very lucky as Cornwall is known for being a very Spiritual and artistic place. It was at school I first began to feel I was just a little bit different; I never quite fitted, and always felt apart from the others; I was a quiet child, therefore I spent a lot of time on my own, in nature, or with my beloved horses; it was whilst I was out walking in the in the countryside one day that I discovered I had somehow been given this astonishing gift of words; it is something I shall never forget. After that I began some serious writing; within a couple of years I started sending poems off to competitions, and actually had a lot of recognition for them. My confidence grew when in 2003 I won an award from The International Society of Poets, plus recognition as 'Poet of the Year,' on many occasions. My first book 'Those Summers Long Ago,' was self-published in 2005, 'A Crystal Dawn was published in 2006 by 'United Press,' then last year it was my turn to win the 'United Press Christmas poem 2015,' which was publicised in the local press.
