Autorenporträt
Gladys Scarlette has lived in Summerfield all her life and has long enjoyed doing historical research on the area. She has written a column for the Greensboro News-Record about Summerfield for the last three years and has been employed as the Library Director and Chairman of the History Committee at First Baptist Church Summerfield for the past 35 years. She self-published Summerfield, North Carolina: A Pictorial History in 1995 and School Days in Summerfield, NC in 2005. Both titles have sold well in the area.
