This book explores the use of idioms in Salman Rushdie's eleven novels. Firstly, the key concepts in phraseology are discussed as a background to the study of Rushdie's idiomaticity. Grzegorz Szpila is a lecturer and researcher at the Institute of English Philology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He specialises in phraseology and paremiology, and in particular, the phraseo-stylistics of contemporary fiction in English.
