Teachers Teaching Teachers focuses on basic guiding principles that give direction to, sustain, and renew educators on their journey toward educating their students. These principles are based on the characteristics and behaviors observed in successful teachers' classrooms. Topics include building relationships, motivation, communication, class management, humor, stress management, professional growth, and the power of the profession. Although explicit and implied theory is embedded, Teachers Teaching Teachers uses real life reflections and stories about schools and classrooms to connect, illustrate, and solidify theoretical concepts. This approach creates an inspiring, reflective, and practical delivery system for the understanding and internalization of these principles.

Rezensionen
"'Teachers Teaching Teachers' is a delightful read that uncovers critical issues in education and identifies practical and effective solutions. The down-home metaphors paint poignant illustrations of the multiple dilemmas and common sense needed to truly renew education. Geneal and Greg Cantrell speak from the experiences of classroom, school, district, and state responsibilities, and speak from their hearts. They include the voices of those who are new teachers as well as those who mentor them. This book is a must read for aspiring educators and advocates of quality education." (Lesley Quast, Professor, Furman University)
"In 'Teachers Teaching Teachers', Geneal and Greg Cantrell provide a practical framework to help educators and others understand what concepts constitute good teachers while realistically staging them in today's schools. They draw on years of classroom experience as well as leadership and research as the basis for this understanding. These concepts are organized into a readable, usable, and motivating text." (Sandy Addis, Director of Pioneer Regional, Educational Service Agency (RESA), Georgia)
