Today, it is recognized that micronutrient deficiency, a more hidden form of malnutrition is widespread. The present investigation reiterate the fact that there are intra-and inter-actions existing among the macro and micronutrients that influence the efficacy of single or multiple micronutrient supplementation. Interventions that work need to be applied together at the same time, in the places where they can do the most good. Further, nutritional safety net for those who connot care for and feed themselves is imperative particularly in the low income groups. They needed most effective and cost-effective strategies are chosen and implemented for the benefit of malnourished children. What is to be achieved ultimately is the access to an adequate amount and variety of good quality and safe foods for ensuring overall growth and development of school going children.
