A Redundancy Removal Data Collection Approach Based on Mobile Sink for Heterogeneous Sensor Networks is proposed which is using both the mobile sink approach and redundancy removal mechanism. In redundancy removal mechanism, the sensor nodes will sense the data and send it to the cluster head for the first time, but after that if the sensed data is same i.e. within the specified interval of time, then the nodes will send only the difference between the previously sent data and the current sensed data. If the sensed data is out of the specified range or interval , then node will send the complete data again. The proposed work reduces the number of bits to be transmitted over the network which decreases the energy consumption and hence increases network lifetime.
