More recently in California, another kind of writer met his other self, poetry gained one of its unique poets and life-changing community supporters. As a kid, D. L. Winters' family was that of only himself and his mother whose home consisted of a single car, leaking roof garage, in a poverty-stricken neighborhood in Bakersfield, Ca. But his dream was to help others where they were to be better, feel better and do better. His life's experiences has given him tools to assist in making change, being an authentic difference maker and a beacon of hope. Inspired by his experiences as a homeless survivor D. L. Winters offers real solutions that will leave you feeling more fearless than ever before. While perfecting his craft in writing his first poetry book. After a few years he published his second and third poetry books and partnered with Amazon where his books are available for countless readers all over the world. Winters has since gone on to be a husband and father living in California.
