Agriculture is the basis of livelihood for the farmers and is aptly described as the backbone of Indian economy. Nutrients of the soil is one of the important factor which depends on the selection of fertilizer and its management. Usually, farmer dispenses a consistent amount of chemical fertilizers at a constant rate across the entire field. As a consequence, there is a continuous surge in the land area being degraded mainly because of the irrational treatment of the crop land with chemical fertilizers. This has created an inherent need for precision agriculture methods especially in soil nutrient management. Since the existing laboratory methods consume longer hours and demands well equipped testing centres, the domain needs an instant soil testing method. The proposed method aims at solving the dearth by developing an automated module for precision dispense of fertilizers.
