Autorenporträt
Dolly Victoria Fox-Erich embarked on a writing adventure, which has been a life-long desire to share her passions and dreams with her loved ones and the world. Much of Dolly's poetic inspiration derive from personal life experiences involving her beloved family and friends, current events reported daily in the local and national news, and her love for childhood fairy tales. Some of Dolly's poems focus on the issues of abuse and domestic violence, which give penetrating insight into the characters involved, while others capture her inner soul and touch deeply. Some poems will cause you to laugh out loud, while others will invoke heartfelt memories. By the age of twelve-years old, Dolly's already vibrant and imaginative mind encouraged her to be a young writer. Dolly had written her ?rst children's story, "Herby, the Disappearing Elephant". Dolly received the Editor's Choice Award by the International Library of Poetry in March, 2006 for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. A proli?c writer, Dolly has completed over 500 poems. Her poetry exempli?es a unique gift of exhortation and humor that ministers to both her young and old readers. Dolly was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She was married eight years to her ?rst husband, producing three beautiful children. Although the marriage ended in divorce, it opened the door for her to meet and marry the love of her life, William Erich. Dolly and William's successful and loving relationship lasted 25 years and produced a set of twins. A young widow, Dolly persevered and returned to school, graduating from Robert Morris University in December, 2009 majoring in Paralegal Studies. Prior to her formal education, she worked many years in the legal industry and acquired a wealth of knowledge in the legal ?eld. Dolly's poems depict her triumphs, failures, and triumphs again, her unwavering fortitude, spiritual strengths, and positive outlook on life, she generously shares with all who read these pages.
