Since early childhood, Don-Michael Smith has been a lover of literature. He is currently a contemporary literature teacher at a high school in East Harlem. Don-Michael grew up in Hampton, Virginia, before attending Virginia Tech, where he received a bachelor's of science degree in 2001. Upon graduating from VT, Don-Michael moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he obtained his master's degree in education and began his career teaching. A Roommate's Promise is his first novel.
