He is the author or co-author of numerous articles and books on the use of life insurance in estate and employee benefit planning. Donald O. Jansen is the Assistant General Counsel, Office of the General Counsel, The University of Texas System, in Austin, Texas. He is also a retired partner of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in their Houston office. His practice was concentrated on estate tax, life insurance, and employee benefits.
