The Public Broadcasting System has documented the fire as part of its American Experience series. It has been shown a number of times since 2014, most recently in January 2021.

Autorenporträt
Donald Kentop was born in New York City. He is a graduate of New York University and Columbia University, with a master's degree in the teaching of history. His poetry has appeared in numerous journals, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. He lives in Seattle with his wife Carol.
