Don Clucas is a native Southern Californian who has authored several books and articles of historical interest. Fortunate to have parents who instilled in him a love of things past, his passion for researching and writing history is especially evident in stories involving California. Marilyn Anderson, director of the Cooper Regional History Museum, is a native Uplander. It was through Marilyn and the museum that most of the photographs for this book were made possible.
