It's a reminder of where we came from, our past, our present, and our future, and who we are as a nation, It reminds us of our greatness, our beauty, our resilience, our stead fast determination to be FREE, in a land that for centuries, has denied us that basic right. In the movie Harriet, she informed her en slaver, "that God never meant for people to own people". Until humans come to grips with that fact, then this world will always be at a standstill, when it comes to racism and hate. As long as black people live in this country, they will never truly be free, but we must continue to try, restitution for the blood, sweat, and tears, that were shed, has never been given, black people were the wealth of this country, it was not the oil from the ground, but the black gold of African Slaves that stabilized, America's wealth and its financial growth, yet African Americans have never been properly compensated, for their labors. Therefore, we are still SHADOWS in this country, seen yet unseen, some doors have opened but many are still closed, forcing us to enter from the BACK DOOR or the BLACKDOOR. The long hard fight for freedom is far from over, reparations have yet to be given and the acknowledgment by this country, has not been made and forgiveness has not been asked for by any of the powers that be, America must come to grips, with its guilt, its shame, and its sin, it must allow its self to be uncomfortable with what it created, and open itself up, so that change can take place and ask themselves, WHEN HAVE WHITE LIVES NOT MATTER, and WHEN WILL BLACKLIVES START TO MATTER? There is no justice until there is justice for everyone There is no freedom until there is freedom for everyone There is no peace for anyone until there is peace for everyone No justice, No freedom, No Peace shall America ever find ALL LIVES MUST MATTER, so that we can ALL be FREE UHURU!!
