Dave Saxton was born in West Yorkshire and spent his formative years in Ossett, where he attended secondary school. He is a retired company director who lives, with his partner on a houseboat in Kent. They have been together for 25 years. He enjoys walking, music, reading and rugby league. Dave has two daughters, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In his fifties, he moved to Karlstad, Sweden, for six years before returning to England. Over time, he has walked John O'Groats to Land's End and is attempting to travel through all the stations on the British Railways Map.
