David is CTO of ClearSpecs Enterprises. He has more than 50 years experience in software development with an emphasis on software requirements, quality, and verification. He has consulted for both commercial and in-house software development organizations. In 1986, Dave cofounded Software Quality Engineering (www.sqe.com, www.stickyminds.com) -- the leading provider of software quality information, worldwide -- and catalyzed the launch of Better Software magazine. During the last 15 years, David has been focused on requirements understanding, specification, and risk management. David has a PhD in computer science, but has managed to help people do useful work anyway.
