Autorenporträt
Through all activities, Dr David Kenneth Waldman has been motivated by a sincere concern for girls and women who lack access to human rights, gender equality, gender justice, social justice, public health, clean water, sustainable educational development, and peace for all children. He has traveled to 44 countries in my quest to understand the social, education, and economic issues pertaining to children. Waldman is always looking for ways to work directly with children that will use my expertise experience, and passion. Dr Waldman's promise that I will to the best of my ability share knowledge and resources at no charge to help others in the pursuit of helping the girl child. He will follow my best instincts, experience, and intelligence to work hard in order to not knowingly harm or to cause additional harm to the plight of the girl children in the world. He will go to the benefit of all children, of females as well as males and that my work will be dedicated to improve the lives of girl children that need help the most Dr David Kenneth Waldman had an epiphany that changed his life during a trip to Thailand in 1990. He had traveled to the northern Mekong River region to visit a young girl he had been sponsoring financially through a nonprofit organization, Plan International. "As I stood on a dirt road looking up at her small house on stilts, I had a sudden realization; I turned to the guide next to me and said, 'I know what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. I'm going to create a foundation for children.' " To Love Children is dedicated to the girl child living in poverty. You are the raison d'être for our work. Saddened that Rebecca and Mack Waldman are not alive to share the nachas (joy) of the work TLC has done in the world. To Love Children follows the Jewish cultural tradition of (Tikkun Olam), Repairing the World. I honor their memory by devoting To Love Children to Tikkun Olam Created out of a passion to help the poorest, most vulnerable, and marginalized girls with sustainable educational development opportunities. To Love Children's focus comes from extensive research and Waldman's personal experience working in India and Africa. Waldman decided to focus his efforts on the most marginalized and poorest girls in the world because they often do not have the same educational opportunities as boys. He believes that when you educate a girl it breaks their cycle of poverty. Dr Waldman expertise comes from extensive research and experience with poor girls who have little protection of human rights; and access to gender justice and community public health. His vision is to diminish the impact of marginalized girls living in extreme poverty. Dr David Kenneth Waldman believes when you educate a girl from early childhood to higher education to provide educational opportunity. July 25, 2002, Dr. David Kenneth Waldman founded To Love Children Educational Foundation International Inc (TLC) registered in the state of California as a 501(c) 3 international nongovernmental organization (NGO). TLC obtained special consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in 2006. Waldman has few heroes, but Robert F. Kennedy inspired how he would come to visualize social change: "Human history is shaped each time a man stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. Some men see things as they are and ask why? I dream things that never were and ask, Why not? Recently in 2013, Waldman with Maestro Carlo Ponti co-founded
