David Z. Beitz is partner and co-founder of Beitz and Daigh Geographics, a firm specializing in the use of geographic information systems (GIS) primarily for the real estate industry. Beitz's team also created Planned Grocery(R), the location analytics platform used by many grocery retailers, shopping center developers, hedge funds, and investment banks to track the development cycle of grocery stores across the United States. Beitz graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree of science from the college of science and mathematics and today has over 25 years of GIS experience. He holds the real estate development certificate from the Urban Land Institute (2010) and his various teams have received two special achievement awards from ESRI (2001, 2012).
