But they may soon have their own problems. Alliandre is gravely injured saving Sir Rodney the Magnificent, to fulfil a promise made at Marion's request. This threatens to set off a blood feud between the Southern Kingdom and the greatest house in the Central Kingdom. Meanwhile, the Great Aelf King is hesitating to provide aid; centuries of endless wars has spoiled his appetite for it. His inaction threatens to fracture the longtime alliance between the human and aelf kingdoms, setting the stage for another Great War between the races. None of that matters though, unless they survive the attack on Foresight.

Dan lives in Minnesota with his wife, having been happily married for over thirty years, with four children and a dog. (He also has his two mother-in-laws living in his basement.) He has held a number of jobs, from construction in college, to accounting, technology and now IT Audit. Before that, he was in the military, where he encountered the Society for Creative Anachronists, where he learned sword and knife -making, armoring, and all sorts of medieval skills.Throughout it all he had a story in his head that he finally decided to put down on paper during Covid. With a lot of support from family and friends, book one was published in August of 2022. He then published the audiobook in 2023, and published an e-Book for 1.5, preparing the reader for Book II of The Knights' Trials, Attack on Foresight.
