Autorenporträt
I have always embraced my child-like imagination throughout life as an artist. As a young artist I was inspired by fantasy and surrealist painters. I follow that whimsical path by painting stone whales and cloud cities. My work is admired and owned by collectors worldwide and I am currently represented at Gallery 8 on Salt Spring Island, (B.C.). I have also beenfeatured as an 'Artist to Collect' in the international art magazine ARABELLA. In the fall of 2016 I decided to take a break from painting and do some introspection. One day I came across some children's wood blocks. After a few months I had built an abandoned castle and a rusty robot made from wood and metal called Sedrik. I decided to use photography to tell a story about Sedrik and his relationship with words. The result is Out Loud, a 44-page graphic novel which is my first book and took me almost 2 years to make.
