Daniel W. Hood enjoys writing, photography, and cooking. He is a Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner and has studied Chinese martial arts for more than twenty years. Dan spent four years in the U.S. Air Force, and upon his discharge, he worked 39 years as a civil service employee, a television reporter, a photographer, and a disc jockey. A former amateur bodybuilder, Dan competed in a number of local contests and placed first in the Mr. Bay State and Mr. Massachusetts tall class competitions. He also placed 4th in the over-40 Mr. America contest.
