This work is conceptually dense, argumentatively consistent, precautious and precise in interpreting observational data, attitudinally firm, therefore allowing for no conjunctural concessions; it displays a sharp and legitimate lucidity, because it is meant to avoid unnecessary explanations, thus becoming an accomplice to the world of facts, of immediate realities. It is a powerful synthesis due to its surprising, obvious and compellingly applicative potential revealed after reading the very first pages. While I am in full agreement with the discursive strategy and with the standard of the present research, with regard to attitudes and values, I consider that many of the psychological habits, defects and reflexes of the military environment may be changed through institutional initiatives, which, in turn, may generate qualities, attitudes and latent virtues.
