Migration and living in a new country are not always easy. Sometimes it's quite the opposite. Migration and living in a new country are not always easy. Sometimes it's quite the opposite. It's one thing to migrate out of your own desire and understanding that you want to live and develop abroad. It is quite another to be forced to move because of the war and aggression of a neighbour, which we had to face. And in this case, getting used to new realities and a new life is not only not easy; it is catastrophically difficult. I know that sometimes you give up and often even have a great desire to stop trying, leave everything and go home. The problem is that there might be nothing left of the place you used to call home. I would like this book to be a little cheat sheet with tips on how not to lose yourself, your common sense and your love of life itself in migration. It's about how to take things in stride, what moments are best ignored, and how to build your own support system. How to find light in the darkness and how to never give up even when everything is lost.
Autorenporträt
I like to treat my life as an adventure. When I was about to finish my studies at the university, I left all and went to volunteer in Turkey, Ankara. Then I came back home to Ukraine, and COVID-19 started. During the ups and downs and searching for myself between working in an NGO, then in the call center, and later as a marketing manager, I decided to start over once again and quit the job at the international and prestigious company to work in Germany as an Au-Pair. Now its been more than 2 years since I moved to Bremen and started to establish my life here, in a new country for me. I have always been into writing and journaling; it started when I was around 10. I wrote a lot of pages about things I care and love. Later, I was a journalist at the school newspaper, and now I am here to share my first book about the lessons Germany taught me during the last two years. More to come.
