As a sustainable, practical and low-cost technique; evaporative cooling (EC) has been employed since the ancient centuries for conditioning the living environments. Passive, bio-inspired evaporative cooler designs integrated to the buildings (i.e. façade, roof, windows) is an emerging area where several different studies have been performed in the last decade. In addition, investigation of environmentally friendly organic evaporation materials is another important research area for future development of building integrated evaporative cooler design. Presented study demonstrates that multidisciplinary approach from the engineering and architectural perspectives which is important for achieving sustainable, functional and aesthetic buildings in the near future.
