The present investigation on "Effect of apical pinching and growth retardants on seed yield and its quality parameter of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench.) cv. GO-6" was carried out in two parts (Part-A field experiments and Part-B laboratory experiments) with the objectives to study the effect of apical pinching on seed yield and its quality, to study the effect of growth retardant seed yield and its quality and to study the interaction effect of apical pinching and growth retardant on seed yield and seed quality.It was found that apical pinching and growth retardant played an important role on seed yield and its attributes and also on seed quality parameters of okra. Pinching at 20 DAS (P1) was found effective in improving plant growth parameters, seed yield and quality of seeds of okra. The maximum improvement was observed in vegetative growth of plant, seed yield and yield attributing parameters by the application of CCC 200 ppm (T3) and for seed quality parameter except hundred seed weight and seed diameter (m).
