Deborah Lucy was born in Southsea, Portsmouth, the island city. She currently resides close by, near the sea. Deb has worked alongside senior investigating officers investigating murder, missing persons, abductions and kidnaps. She's been at the 7 a.m. starts, the 3 a.m. finishes, the 'golden hours', the highs and lows, the breakthroughs, the slog. The politics. For three years she worked in the missing persons arena, with police, government advisors and charities. Latterly, she conducted anti-money laundering enquiries for international blue-chip companies, as well as running an antiques business. She has a master's degree in historical research and writes DI Temple novels.
