This book is chiefly devoted to investigate the relationship between and among gender, leadership style preference, and effectiveness in leadership by examining the leadership of primary schools of Ethiopia. Often time people attach certain leadership styles only to males, such as autocratic style and free-rein style, and some other to females, such as democratic style. Another issue is that there is predetermined assumption in the society that pertains to considering males as being capable of confronting challenges, emotionally stable, confident and thus effective in leadership while females are commonly considered as sensitive, emotional, unable to stand challenges and hence ineffective in leadership. Therefore the book has addressed these and other pertinent issues of leadership in depth.
