Denay Hooks grew up in Mason, Texas and graduated from Texas State University. Denay, her husband, and their three children have lived in Louisiana and Kentucky, but now call Lubbock, Texas home. Denay was a First Grade Teacher, but chose to stay at home once their daughter, Hannah, was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome at the age of two. Hannah has given their family a new perspective on life and an incredible joy that they want to share with others. When Denay and her family aren't seeking out new adventures, you can find her creating recipes in the kitchen or crafting with her kids. Her children inspire her writing and she hopes that The Adventures of Bug and Boo Series will impact many children across the world.
