Autorenporträt
A Hunter's Heart, a Poet's Soul... Born in 1912 with the heart of a hunter and the soul of a poet, Mack Moyle was educated in a one room schoolhouse in southern Wisconsin. The young Wisconsinite enthusiastically embraced everything about the outdoors, particularly trees and plants, hunting and fishing. Returning from WWII he married his sweetheart, "Toots," and together they followed his career to New Jersey. A nurseryman, landscape professional and youth camp manager, his gregarious personality and natural ability as a storyteller led him to write about the world of nature in captivating tales of nimrod friends, gardening, hunting and fishing, eventually penning a popular local Newspaper column titled, "The Piney Naturalist." Mack passed to the "Happy Hunting Ground'' in 1991, but his entertaining tales remain and are presented here, lovingly compiled by his daughter, Denise Moyle-Shaffer.
