i was raised on a farm in western Queensland and I spent a lot of of my childhood exploring the scrub area around my home. I spent quite some time watching the birds and their antics. Years later when driving home from school one afternoon a low flying duck almost crashed into my car and I thought that was really weird. So my mind started thinking why was this so out of character for a bird and I come up with an idea for a children's story based on this incident.
