Autorenporträt
Dr Kidd qualified in Ireland in 1986. After general medical training he was appointed Lecturer at the Institute of Neurology and spent three years in research into the pathophysiology of progressive multiple sclerosis. His clinical training in Neurology and Neuro-ophthalmology was at St Thomas’ Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He was appointed Consultant Neurologist to the Royal Free Hospital in 1998 and established the Neuro-ophthalmology and Neuroimmunology Units there. He has published 75 papers on topics related to inflammatory diseases of the nervous system and Neuro-ophthalmology, and several book chapters including the Handbook of Clinical Neurology. He was co-editor of the Neuro-ophthalmology volume of the Blue books series in 2008.
