Reconstruction and segmentation technique is general in digital image processing fields for eliminating disturbances or noises in image and ensuring the continuity of local structures. This book describes one of the methods of reconstructing the arteries and segmenting the reconstructed arteries which is affected by disturbances or noise such as specular reflections. Histogram equalizing technique has been applied for finding genuine specular reflected area and filling those reflected area with the surrounding texture color of heart surface. The continuity of the arteries is generated over specular reflected area using Interpolation technique. Anisotropic diffusion of the interpolated image and Bilateral filtering of the diffuse smooth image will reconstruct the arteries at the place of discontinuity between two arteries. Delaunay triangulation based segmentation technique will segment the arteries in image.
