Fingerprints are the impressions present on the fingers and thumbs. Criminal wrongdoers have a principal objective not to leave any follows at the wrongdoing scene. Traditional powders used during investigation of fingerprint present on the crime scene are potentially hazardous in nature to health. Therefore, multiple natural replacement powders from household items, including coco powder, chocolate powder, coffee powder, fruits and vegetable peel powder, different types of flours, Indigo powder, Vermilion powder and many more are used to visualize latent fingerprints present on porous and non-porous surfaces. The attempt to use household items for developing latent fingerprints which are simple, easy to get, non- toxic, less expensive than the commercially used fingerprint powders. The effect of commercial household powders varies depending on the surface. The further experimentation can yield safe and efficient natural powders with that adequate development of fingerprint will be performed. The sole purpose of this study is to develop the Latent fingerprint using household commercial products to prevent allergies and health effects on the fingerprint expert.
