Werewolf Harald is on his way to Scotland when he accidentally meets Lillie. Until that very moment he didn't believe in love, let alone love at first sight.
It should be simple, but their lives are far too different. Those differences are proven when unforeseen circumstances separate them.
Though Lillie is not there when he returns to claim her, Harald is not willing to surrender to the patriarchy of the times. Nor is he swayed by whatever lengths he must go to in order to find her.
When you find your mate, and the stars align, you do what you must to save them.

Autorenporträt
Dixie Pieslak - Michigan born to parents who taught me an understanding of God, and a deep need for spiritual life.

I grew up in So California, though I've spent considerable time elsewhere. I love to travel, study new languages, go to every castle and museum I can. Walk the cobblestone streets of Frye, England, linger on the bridge in Luzern, struggle up a steep Mexican pyramid.

Climb ancient stairs of ancient cathedrals. View the city from London's Eye. Drive the forests of Sweden. Cruise canals in Venezia or Amsterdam. Explore history, from the birthplace of Mozart to WW ll bullet and mortar holes still to be found.

Marvel at the lights of Hong Kong. Loll on the sands of Maui and - everywhere - read over hot coffee and pastry.

Okay, so I've been lucky. I wanted to travel and I did. More than that, I wanted to learn, and I have. Still do.

All my life I've been a writer, though now I've turned to novels. Before that it was short stories, reports and a couple of fun-to-write textbooks. Novels, however, are decidedly more fun to write, and from now on I shan't depart from the lure of fiction. I'm not alone in that, so I've always bought lots of books, mostly for my Kindle, these days.

In So. California, I'm privileged to enjoy being outdoors in all seasons. I take my laptop outside and write under the open sky. All I require is solitude, shade from burning sun, and a sweatshirt when it's cool. Bare foot with flip flops for hot weather, socks and a beanie for cold. A few beta reader friends to tell me if my writing goes off track.

For the most part, fidelity to genre is difficult. I write what catches my interest, and paranormal adventures tend to do that most. But the complexity of relationships tops the bill. And that involves love and confusion. Add indecision, failure to act, the effect of mistakes - and there you go. A story I feel compelled to write, especially if there's a twist. Oh yeah, gotta love a twist.

Okay, so that's who I am. An inveterate reader, a lover of words. A writer who hopes to be read, though I'll write whether I am read by many - or not. Hopefully, some of you will be entertained.
